Looks like someone forgot that the white lines are there for a reason.

Or maybe he/she spent over $90,000 on a car and would like to keep all the paint on the car.

I could share this feeling...Superslow wrote: Or maybe he/she spent over $90,000 on a car and would like to keep all the paint on the car.
Re: hot "spot"
alittle late but here are just a few hot spots i found in the lime rock parking lot this year
Re: hot "spot"
Nice shots Leo, thanks for sharing. Funny though, it's Lime Rock Park that gets to me, that place looks idyllic. Lush and green, looks like such a relaxing atmosphere to watch races. It does not look crowded, or controlled to the tits like Laguna Seca is during big races. I like the regional low key aspect of the place. Laguna was like that decades ago before it went big time, now it's like having a race track built in a prison yard; walls, guards, passes required for everything. Better to watch it on TV than at the track. No wonder you go back every year.

I was thinking more along the lines of Batman
Re: hot "spot"
good eye and yes one of the main reasons i get my butt back to limey every year ... they dont call it "the hidden valley of racing" for nothingToad wrote:Nice shots Leo, thanks for sharing. If that's a Porsche Cayenne (it is, right??)... serves 'em right.
49' or 50' Merc
Summer time in California brings these guys out. A really nice custom; too bad I could not get better shots as we were in traffic. Guy had a fifties cop siren installed that he turned on when he saw us taking the pictures.

That's a nice car! Good find!
Re: hot "spot"
The custom reminds me of the car that Stallone drove in one of those Stallone films. City something?

Here's a stock version of a 1949 Mercury and James Dean
Affectionately called the Lead Sled. (The car not Dean)
For me they are the epitomy of what a custom can be.
The Merc was an expensive car for it's day, before Ford got a hold of the company.

Lovely. The beginnings of the "brutal beauty" that I admire so much in (some) American cars.Toad wrote:Here's a stock version of a 1949 Mercury
