hot "spot"
At the time of Audi S6 Avant development, i wrote it was way hard to find a car like this big sedans around Rome streets, then a Ferrari/Porsche.
Well... let's start to attach picture of your hot "spot". The cars you find around your city, but it's hard to see, as this amazing and loud Aston Martin DB9:

Audi R8? Also looks like a Le Mans concept, but that I do not think was produced, was it?DonaemouS wrote:

Re: hot "spot"
yes is the Audi R8, one of the most amazing jewels Audi ever made. This was a dark grey. I already saw another R8, I was in vacation near Pescara.

nioce! i saw a M3 today at the car wash, yet no camera on hand and the cell cam is worthless
Re: hot "spot"
Audi R8? That car has (grey) sideburns. A rather distinguished car I'd say...
Speaking of Audi, I went to their museum and production facilities in Ingolstadt, Germany last Friday. That was really interesting, especially the tour through the production hall. Unfortunately, I couldn't shoot any photos of the production, but to see the old and new racers in the museum was quite good.
Wanna see some photos?

a popular car in some USA areas, but really hard to find here in italy. The 2004's CTS, also "picturized" by Tomte USA trip:
Note: Look at the road. Has something to do with Aston photo?

Re: hot "spot"
I saw a yellow Gallardo on the Interstate today, but did not have a camera handy in time for a picture. Anyway, here's a link to the Lamborghini site so you can at least see the car: http://www.lamborghini.com/2006/lamboSitenormal.asp?lang=eng I could not find the model I saw, but think Gallardo Spyder with hard top.

Re: hot "spot"
AMG C63... I tried to provoke the driver. Once he understood my intentions, I didn't heard my engine sound anymore. She fly through cars!!!
oh my god!!! RS6 Avant fueling. I read something like 64 euros and counting...
Re: hot "spot"
I was distracted (to say the least) while driving through Carmel on a residential street when I came across a meticulously restored 1950's Fiat Formula 1 transporter used originally by the Maseratti Formula 1 team with three 1960 period Formula 1 cars on board. Brad, was kind enough to show me around, he was one of the restorers, and give me the short history on the hauler and the cars.
Seems the Scarab team was the first all American F1 team. Powered by Offenhauser engines. First race was at Monaco, in 1960 I think he said. The did not fair very well, no wins, no points, few finishes, and gave up after a couple of years.
This thing was immaculate:
Inside and out:
Two of the three cars on board, too big for my Iphone to get them all in one shot:
The one on top/front:
Into the sun, with crappy Iphone camera:
Back on the road:

Glad to hear you say that Don, I thought the cars were very cool, but the transporter was unreal. Such a one of a kind machine. Did you notice the license plate on the back in the last shot? PROVA TO-722, is that a district or city?

Re: hot "spot"
PROVA is the plate in Italy we give to cars on test. TO is the district of Turin. 722 Mean this was the 722 vehicle in Turin...Toad wrote:PROVA TO-722, is that a district or city?
