mother of god! that was amazing!!!! i had goosebumps the entire time, and im not ashamed to say that at a few points my nipples got hard (teehee).

no racing shoes indeed. im not sure, but in some of those waistdown shots i'd swear that he was wearing penny loafers???!!!!

its like he just rolled out of bed and said "ah what the hell...im gonna go beat the hell out of this porsche and the ring"... baddass!!!!

Well, I did see how long it was because I watched the video - I guess it would be quite the undertaking. Where is the track located anyway?

This track is at least 8 minutes per lap in most cars on Gran turismo 4. Very long, and why I can't get that final license test done.

Damn techno soundtrack drove me nuts. Scary driving... I dont even dare drive like that in Redline much less in real life!

OMFG.

That was intense just to watch. It was astonishing to see the sheer number of steering corrections, switching from opposite and back multiple times through most corners. Just staggering control through the turns and funny to see him pass cars as if they were going backwards.

I wonder if the RL-TMC should offer c14ru5 its assistance in getting this monster finished?

Sure, do you have the 100 trained monkeys that are to finish up the roadtypes? I've done about one third of the track. Of course it wouldn't hurt with such a suggestion when Brooklands is done. Personally I want to spend my time on finishing Lyngaas first.

On the topic of steering corrections, have a look at this Radical SR3 Turbo at the 'Ring:

Looks like the driver is about to get killed at every corner entry. There's also a video of the faster SR8, but that looks a bit more controlled IMO.

I have no problem with opening up a public dev folder. As Monaco proved, there is nothing that prohibits having several people working on the same roadtype file, as long as some basic precautions are taken. I will probably do so, but first I must add comments to my existing roadtypes file so that you see what I've been thinking. I can't give a good promise for when it'll be uploaded to devuploads/c14ru5/, but stay tuned for a new thread here sometime around the holidays.
