Projection painting - new in Blender 2.49

How to get from this mess:



to this neat UV texture?



Answer: Study the technique used in the tutorial below.



I imagine this new Blender feature can open up several new texturing possibilities for Redline models.

Very interesting. Of course the pendant in me has to point out that the messy UV map is actually technically a better map than the neat one. Wink

Yes, there's probably less distortion, but then again it's harder to make your own skins (harder to make sense of what goes where, and harder to align overlapping parts) Rolling Eyes Laughing
