Redline Caterham Cup 2011

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
after 2 weeks of hard work, 20FingerS, ValentinK, Kopje and Zerafiall are now ready to introduce you to the first ever Redline Caterham Cup.
Everything is set to be one of the most little tournament of Redline, now it’s your turn to make it HUGE!

I think this is the coldest reaction for a tournament...
And I thought the problem was rFactor, but apparently not so many Redline simmers are playing it either.

Since leo started this board i never understult how people can double post on both forums
and expect double posts on their posts.

its just silly. the official board is on asw - what do you expect to happen in here?

Nothing is silly. Section is called "Races & Events - Nail down all those schedules and details". 20 just mentioned what happened after he did so.
Maybe you should eliminate this section from here to avoid double postings?

I dont think it's because of the tournement. It's because not many people are playing redline. Rfactor is not a problem, it's just something that people who loved to sim can look into.

By the way, if there was a mac version of rfactor, there would be no debate, you would all be there.

But I always like the simplicity of RL. If I am able to play online means that it's easy!
And window is to illuminate and ventilate the room...
So, I have to wait for Mac version or I throw myself on the parallel?

True See Flat, that's what hurts me, redline is sick and I am afraid it's dying...but it's not about the game, it's all about the community for me...I miss you too and I miss lot of people I had great fun and respect for. That's it...It wasn't criticism, just whining...

Redline is not sick, Redline is braindead and this is the mourning period - I thought that was agreed when we paid to have LOL stay up for another year, that we wanted it here just because pulling the plug seemed a bit sudden when we were all still hanging around at the bedside. (Yes DonaemouS, Redline is a zombie!)

As to the "Official Forum" - well, fuck that, frankly.

I won't be signing up for the new tournament because I'm gonna be out of town for half of it, but I hope enough people sign up that you can have some fun. If rFactor runs as well as I've been told in CrossOver then it is a great solution, to be running a Windows game on your Mac desktop is a victory for ingenuity and "one in the eye for Windows" if you dig that kind of thing.

I use Mac for my work. Thirteen years ago Archicad ran only on Mac. Nothing against window: was the need that has led me to the apple.

In these years I always thought that there were great games for windows and nothing for Mac. Just thought .... and never told. And I won't tell even now.
Redline seemed like a victory but now it's not even a draw.
I'm a romantic as 20: I will miss the group of RL simmers.
And reading on the upper topic: I don't have all that patience to install window on my Mac. I will go to buy a pc.
My colleague has made a PC into a Mac: this is a great revenge! ...and it works (except apple store).

Well what can one expect when there's a section called "Races & Events" on a Redline forum?
That some people do no longer read or post on the ASW forum is not new to anybody after all - that is exactly why it was posted here. And come on, we haven't even allowed this game to go out in style yet with a truly major tournament. hint, hint...

The mourning period begins when something doesn't work anymore at all, i.e. the tracker is dead or the game doesn't run anymore. Is that the case? Errrr.... nope. Besides - Redline was a stillborn game from day one, but enough people bought it to assure good mp fun.

A couple of people from the subforum of >this game< got bored in their own banter section and decided to troll around in the Redline subforum, triggering a flame war ending with having a couple of Redliners warned or blocked from posting for 2 days for their unsurprisingly angry reactions to that bullshit.
I cannot remember any of the trolls to have been warned or forced into a 2-day ban from posting, but.. whatever.

The boy (Val. editor's note) is young but his brain works great!
I've just said on asw forum... I'll be the last one that reads both?

Got barely any time to practise, am not sure about how many races i can join and have definitely not the slightest chance to put a toe on the podium … but: Hey, that’s driving!

great Zap, this is the right spirit!
Just remember to do at least 1 lap of QUALYFING for every track you will be racing, at least one lap. It's fundamental to start the race.

Hello, one was meeee!!!! And I'm still proud of what I have written to those idiots!!!!

Edit: I am proud of what I said on the other thread "Is Redline dying?" when I said we did more than Ambrosia to keep the ball rolling. In the other post I just messed up and expressed very badly my 5 cents. I didn't remember the"banter" one anymore. I agree with Alphonse on that one, I was really annoying...
