Pretty good indeed, although the physics used during this fake aren't any good - that said, most other fakes aren't much more realistic either..

interesting but why those ears mounted on their space skullcap?

Dunno. Maybe they used it as a kind of calibration area for later calculations of head motions or so.T5 wrote:Tuktuk wrote:Nice.

i would assume only for reference to keep harmony with the position of the other actors eyes in specific scenes or could be just for funT5 wrote:interesting but why those ears mounted on their space skullcap?

Well, they are standing in a fluorescent-lit warehouse pretending to be an alien race on an extra-terrestrial world. I would guess even the tiniest of contextual details might help them feel "the moment". Full CGI characters often have stand-ins in costume on the set to give the actors some point of emotional reference. Even if the costume is like a bad Halloween outfit, it still helps.T5 wrote:interesting but why those ears mounted on their space skullcap?
Leo, I also recently saw the movies you linked to - it's quite astounding to the senses, even though I have a pretty good grasp of the technology they are using. You should also check out Nuit Blanche and the accompanying making-of.
