Track launch party

Post  Pax-raider on Thu Feb 12, 2009 12:32 pm

I'm going to release a new track on Sunday afternoon/evening, 3pm US Eastern, 8pm UK, 9pm Western Euro (sorry, I hate UTC... cyclops ). It won't be 100% "finished", but much more complete than any previous first release of my tracks; the scenery/track is fully modeled, but a few trackside models are missing and presumably some bugs/deficiencies will need to be ironed out before the v1.0 comes out later in the spring.

So, I thought it might be fun to celebrate and have a little party with the hardcore sim crew we have here, but I can't host atm due to a router issue that developed following the ice-storm induced, week-long power cut/outage a few months ago. However, leo has kindly agreed to host the launch in MP.

If you want to participate just post here and you can book a spot. Hopefully there'll be a dirty dozen bastages ready to race on Sunday.

A new track? I am curious about it. But Sundays aren't the best days for me to race, mostly I am out for dinner at these times.

I will enter the track later on. Have fun but don't ruin the tarmac with too much abrasion.

Launch Party? You guys still amaze me.

I'll try to be there on time, but if I can't make it, get somebody else in. Smile

Re: Track launch party

Post  See Flat on Fri Feb 13, 2009 12:57 am

I would have loved to be a part of this unveiling. To have an actual scheduled pre release where you will all share the experience at the same time. This is such a cool way and a treat for everyone that plays and cares about this game.

I was not going to really talk about this but before everyone wonders why I might be absent from Redline for a while.
I am suffering from a condition known as Bell's Palsy. Which is partial paralysis of the face muscles. Came about on Monday and I'm hoping I will be in the percentage that recover in the first ten days of being stricken. Worst is my eyes. Since one eyelid does not shot.
I have to be very careful and make sure I lubricated and my vision is bothering me most of the time. So my computer activities have pretty much come to a stop.

I hope you all have a great time and I'll be back as soon as I can.

Cheers,

See Flat

Good luck with that SF. A couple of my friends have had Bell's, both recovered but not sure how long it took.

thanks

Post  See Flat on Fri Feb 13, 2009 5:24 pm

thank you all for the good wishes. It's been quite encouraging that I've been getting a lot of feedback from people that know people who have had this occurrence and so far, it's 100% recovery for all, but not all in the same amount of time. I am hoping I will be lucky as I usually am in life and will be in the 80% that recover within 3 weeks
