GT3 Series Tournament planning
So, I think we ought to run a F1961/RLTCC style tournament (though perhaps not by invitation/trials) - people would pick a car (and skin, one per driver, no overlaps) ahead of time. Races would be 30-45 minutes.
The following tracks have been used over the past three years (5-6 races/year): Silverstone, Monza, Spa-Francorchamps, Oschersleben, Brno, Nogaro, Dubai, Bucharest, Dijon, Mugello
Obviously, we only have the first three (though I know that Bucharest is in the track templates). Oschersleben reminds me a lot of High-Speed Loop if we wanted a similar replacement.
Part of me wants to include all the European tracks we've got, because I think they're all very well done, and are all (except Monaco) used by the various national GT series if not by the European GT3 series:
Silverstone (UK)
Thruxton (UK)
Brands Hatch (UK)
Spa (Belgium)
Zolder (Belgium)
Imola (Italy)
Monza (Italy)
Black Forest (Germany)
High Speed Loop (Germany - let's pretend)
Is that too many? If I had to choose four, it'd be the italicized ones.
Thoughts?

Whatever she had!
I mean, good idea! What other way to seriouly test the new class. No idea if I can participate though, as I'm supposed to spend more time away from Redline (at least when I'm not alone).

Re: GT3 Series Tournament planning
im definitely game for a rltcc style tourney with gt3 cars. if its anything like SF's tourney, it will be hella fun. do you think we have enough cars (4) to keep the tourney interesting or perhaps wait till a few more get pumped out before we start forming this tournament?

Re: GT3 Series Tournament planning
Oh, I want to wait till we have 6-7 cars, and I sort of want to get them in balance before we do this, but perhaps that will happen mid-stream.
I'm working on an Aston Martin now, and we really could get by with a GT and Viper based on the built-in car models.

Re: GT3 Series Tournament planning
Fantastic... I was truly hoping this is where this was heading. These cars really compete well, and so far every MP race i've had has had different outcomes. (car winning)
Looking forward to it.

Re: GT3 Series Tournament planning
That definitely sounds good to me!
But.....Viper and GT derived from the builtin models?
Honestly, better not...
