Time passes bye fast some times. and my spelling does not improve

The GT3 tournament is over, no RRL in sight and SF's RLTCC is "for sale".

I am planning on some long races (just wanted to post one but forgot the password - will look it up at home and post later), which is not bad but should not be all.

In discussions with Toad we decided we could go for a "Toad and Alphonse TCC Race series", in honor of SeeFlat.

First thoughts are around (possible tracks, car-performance-committee-idea, ...

And yet another team to appear out of nowhere..

August 15th, 2009: Silent Bob and Valentin K are proud to announce a new Redline eSport team: The SILENT HONKERS

With two fast drivers from Germany with completely different driving styles and no common team paintjob (due to a current lack of funds), this team will be a heavy contrast to the established teams with their luxury motorhomes and wealthy sponsors.

However, the SILENT HONKERS are going to give their best to spoil things ...

Planet earth, Friday the 14th of August 2009 | Kopje and zaphod are proud to present their unique pan-galactical federation: The VOGON RACING TEAM. It combines the well known values of Italy and Germany in an inimitable way: German dolce vita meets italian precision. And, to outnumber this, the two teammates will drive cars, simply made for them: Kopje will enter his german Opel and zaphod will rumble around in his italian Alfa.

Modest and frugal as we are, there is not much to say about ...

After DonaemouS post of team racing, we just could not resist...

August 11th, 2009, T5 and Alphonse are proud to present the second Redline eSport partnership ever made: TEAM INFINITE.

Team infinite was created to bundle all forces in Redline Sim Racing Tournaments in a team consisting of all you need in a team. Much is still missing - but i am sure we can expand if there is need to.

TEAM INFINITE currently exists of 2 fast players with different ideas, interests but the same hobby: ...

I'll be releasing a new version of Silverstone with improved models and fully modeled scenery at 20:00 UTC on Saturday afternoon/evening. It is bound to be several buildings short of being "finished" by then, but I need a break from working on it and in its current state it's so much prettier than 1.1.5 I can't ...

I wonder what the interest would be in a GT4 tournament. Not that I want to organise or run one, there are far more competent people out there. As usual, I'm more into the technical side of things.

Possible cars for a GT4 tournament could be (sourced here and here):

Audi TT (build-in)

BMW Z4 M Coupe

Caterham (thommŪ)

KTM X-Bow

Ford Mustang

Lotus Exige (thommŪ)

Maserati Grand Tourisma (build-in)

Nissan 350Z

Porsche 968 turbo RS

I'm going to release a new track on Sunday afternoon/evening, 3pm US Eastern, 8pm UK, 9pm Western Euro (sorry, I hate UTC... ). It won't be 100% "finished", but much more complete than any previous first release of my tracks; the scenery/track is fully modeled, but a few trackside models are missing and presumably some bugs/deficiencies will need to be ironed out before the v1.0 comes out later in the spring.

So, I thought it might be fun to celebrate and have a little party ...

Hi all,

I know that many of you that frequent this board participated in my last little event in may. What you might not know is I had started brewing the concept, format and execution a long time before I announced the event. I have started this brewing now, and am not sure when the event will take place.

This feeler is to see how the pros feel about entering such an event once more. I like the quality of the last event, and would want this one to be it's equal or better. So what ...

Guys, I'm ready to organise a second Time Trial Tournament. I wanted to wait for a racing event (RTCC or GT3?) to finish first but, currently, I don't even have a clue when such a thing will start.

I want to run it from mid January to mid March. That is, if it doesn't interfere with another tournament (SF?, NNB?) that's in the pipeline.

Objections, anyone?

Oh, and...

 Happy holidays to all...

...but without the race afterwards.

Part of the problem with the TTT for me is just that I can't justify spending hours getting that perfect lap - and to a certain degree, it is a test of how long you can spend practicing as well as how good you are.

My thought was therefore to limit the number of laps you could do to say 30 and the fastest time of those 30 laps would be used. The problem of course is how you record those 30 laps. What I wondered about was running a qualifying session ...

So, I think we ought to run a F1961/RLTCC style tournament (though perhaps not by invitation/trials) - people would pick a car (and skin, one per driver, no overlaps) ahead of time. Races would be 30-45 minutes.

The following tracks have been used over the past three years (5-6 races/year): Silverstone, Monza, Spa-Francorchamps, Oschersleben, Brno, Nogaro, Dubai, Bucharest, Dijon, Mugello

Obviously, we only have the first three (though I know that Bucharest is in the track templates). ...

Now that we have a nice wide array of rally tracks, thanks to Snail's magic elves , it should be possible to put together a real rally type event. So here's how I'm thinking it could work:

When the race is started only pole position actually goes on the countdown. 2nd place must wait for 1 minute before starting ...
