Yep, too subtle for me. I was wowed by the clip and didn't pick up the hint on the modeling. Can't wait to drive it. Will be interesting to compare with the SR4...

I'm hoping to give it a similar character to the SR4 and I will be examining Giles' car file.
Last night I suddenly got inspired by our Radical duelling at Donington and decided another Radical in Redline would be no bad thing. I hope I will be able to recruit some help to give the SR8 a nice variety of skins.

It steals several pieces from the Zonda, so you'll need that in your plug-ins folder.

looking at last picture is incredibly smooth... also the edge are smooth... I suppose you used FSAA to get this picture?

Re: Radical SR8 Supersport: buy the ticket...
I can help you with an engine sound, since the engine for the SR8 is quite special.

Love it, seems to have inherited much of the driving experience from its older brother. Needs some careful handling in compressions, decelerates rapidly on braking, downshifting needs to be done with revs at the right level. Hopefully you'll find a nice new sound and some dastardly fiendish skins.

Do you use Blender? Have you used the "set smooth" button? Sorry if it's a dumb reply..

Yes, I play Redline with 8x FSAA. And lot's of smoothing in Blender.

Re: Radical SR8 Supersport: buy the ticket...
Apart from the great model, this car has one of the most powerful brakes I ever 'experienced' in Redline!
I have some issues with the directional stabilty of the SR8. It turns quickly into corners, but it does not want to stop turning. I find this weird for a car with just 700 kg and considerable downforce. I had no time to poke through the .car yet, though.

i have a biased opinion but i love the feel of the big sister ... a true gem once you get used to her with the momo
im sure there will be some adjusting yet to be done but i think the basic feel of her is correct ... now, lets get some sexy skins!

Re: Radical SR8 Supersport: buy the ticket...
We ran a bunch of races yesterday evening with the SR8 and had a chance to really test it out. I think its close with the handling, but the behaviour on even the slightest banking needs an adjustment imho. Best examples are at Monza, on the Lesmo curves, both of which I put a tiny bank on. In each case the car gets thrown to the inside way too easily, and I felt I had to tiptoe through just to survive. Something that fixes that might also tame the oversteer tendencies just a hair as well...
Looking forward to the next release, maybe we could use it on Saturday evening...
